Anna from Lviv, spellbound, a gift from three queens.

This article is a thank to @AnnafromUkraine for her Vlogging. The people or organizations that I highlight in this article are taken from YouTube and published unedited. Their work there gives me an opportunity to use their artistic expression to show how I suddenly discovered a pattern in the historical narrative of Queen Anna of Kiev and how I then connect it to the other people in the article.

It is a saga about strange coincidences from the Swedish 1000s up to today's Anna that are not really connected to each other. But if you link them together in a story, it becomes an exciting saga. The main characters in the saga are Queen Anna of Kiev and her sister Queen Elisabeth, both of whom have inherited a spell from Swiatoslawa, or Queen Gunhild as she is called in Sweden.

Gunhild is married, according to the Icelandic sagas, to Sven Tveskägg, King of Denmark. She did not have a happy marriage. She was displaced and forced to move back home to Obodritorum, today's area around Mecklenburg Bay, south-eastern Baltic Sea. However, Gunhild was able to return to Denmark when her sons took power.

This is the basis of the spell, the revenge of the spurned woman that can be inherited and passed on so that the hugs of ghosts can keep the dead in their graves. Gunhild lives in the middle of pre-Christian and Christian society.

I'll let Anna from Lviv herself describe the currently amazing Queen Anna from Kiev and then I tell my fairytale tribute to these two girls. For me, who has long pondered the question of cross-generational values in a society, this is an exciting story to pass on to you. Now we have met Anna from Kyiv and the story can begin with Gunhild's prayer to God to cast a spell

The spell of Queen Gunhild.

News arrives that King Sven Tveskägg has died and Gunhild suddenly realizes that her sons have the opportunity to take over the Kingdom of Denmark. With her experience of Sven Tveskägg and his predecessors, she understands that her sons' future queens should not inherit the inherited horrors of the royal family that she herself has experienced. Gunhild goes to the nearest church, kneels at the altar and makes her sign of the cross.

Quietly, she forms her prayer for a permission to make a spell. ”Jag bedes lof af Gudij gasta vredh, dödzmans moott”, I pray to you God to grant me permission so I can make a spell to keep ghosts and evil in a man's grave (Not. Linderholm, Svenska signelser och besvärjelse (Swedish blessings and incantations), nummer 327 sidan 172  år 1638)

Suddenly Gunhild is filled with a spiritual warmth that spreads through her body and she realizes that the prayer has received the blessing she has been seeking. She can now go to a woman who has a strong and powerful connection to the older faith. Through this woman, Gunhild can create an incantation that has God's permission. The spell is:

I cast a spell (bewitchment)

Against the screaming one

Against the one who walks again

Against the one who rides

Against the one who runs

Against the one who pursues

Towards the one who sails

Towards the traveler

Against the flying one

The creature shall disappear and be returned to the grave by the spell.

With this spell, she can keep Sven Tveskägg's evil in his grave and thereby protect her sons from inheriting this evil.

In the spiritual heavenly world.

Queen Anne of Kviv.

In the heavenly world, Anna lives her spiritual life in a bright and secure existence. She socializes with the strong women of all times and is in harmony with the spiritual tidings. But all is not sweet, in the clear sky a cloud slowly begins to change color and become more grayish. Spiritual time passes but the cloud darkens even more.

The cloud begins to rumble menacingly and emit lightning. Anna notices it and goes into the cloud to find out why. In the cloud she gets images of a man. A small Muscovite man who has the same view of women as Gunhild has been affected by. The man also has the same desire to become king of a powerful empire by devouring the land of her birth. Anna can see in the man's soul the same evil that was present in Sven Tvekskägg and the same desire to conquer both people and land by force.

She quickly summons Gunhild and her sister Queen Elizabeth of Kyiv to a council. She must consult on how to stop the evil inherited from generations that has once again risen from the graves of the ages. Gunhild realizes that the evil double pair of Krill and Dugin have freed a Muscovite man from Gunhild's spell. The three realize that their spirituality must act. Gunhild takes on the task of finding a person to whom she can entrust the spell.

Queen Elisabeth is given the task of returning to her physical body, to create and place in a man's grave this incantation in runes written on brass plate. Queen Anne is tasked with finding a person and creating a new empowering spell to counter Krill and Dugin's devious plans.

The spiritual missions.

Queen Gunhild.

She searches through the clouds of time for a suitable person to cast the spell on. She finds in a white living cloud near the dark mortal cloud a person who is suffering a nightmare. That person has not yet reached a realization of her strength and courage that lies dormant in her person. There is an immense strength in her that can be awakened.

As Gunhild stands by the bed and watches the woman and her nightmare, another spiritual woman appears. Dolores O'Riordan, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolores, open in new page) “I have written about this nightmare and there is a young girl singing it now in February 2022” says Dolores. “Visit the living cloud of AmenA Alsameai and listen to her”.

Gunhild leaves the two and goes to AmenA living white cloud. There she hears the nightmare in the song and realizes that the two living white clouds are in the same time. A cold February day.

A young Swedish girl AmenA Alsameai singing a cover of Cranberries Zombie on a cold winter day. That song with words and feeling describes the content of the nightmare that Gunhild has found in the sleeping woman. She has found her person, now it's up to the other queens to fulfill their

Queen Elisabeth of Kviv

Elisabeth was looking around for burial sites that might be suitable during her lifetime. The mission was to find a contemporary burial site where the spell would survive the passage of time and not be destroyed. The task is difficult as each site must be analyzed from her lifetime to the present day. Finally, she finds a place that meets the requirement. Högstena in Sweden. A place where there is evidence in a museum that runic writing has been placed in Christian graves and has survived the passage of time. She also finds a man to be buried. He was a wife-beater and had been unfaithful to his wife all his life. Elisabeth's mission is complete, a man and a grave. Now all that remains is for Anna to do her job, to place in the grave a brass plate with Gunhild's spell written in runes.

Queen Anna

The Queen has a dilemma with her mission. In ancient times, there were many powerful spells for courage and strength. She can hear these spells in her mind, but the language and context do not fit with the person to be invoked with strength and courage.

They certainly contain great and powerful strength and have called for great achievements. She searches through the timelines of the spells and suddenly hears a gentle voice and a charisma that captivates her audience. Queen Anna has found her person.

Eivør Pálsdóttir, born July 21, 1983 in Syðrugøta, Faroe Islands, is a Faroese singer of jazz, folk, country, pop and classical music. She usually uses her first name, Eivør, as her stage name

With her, Queen Anna can cast her spell of strength and courage. Evior can increase the power of the spell with her person and voice. Lets the spell echo between the mountain walls and along the waters of the fjord. Queen Anna picks up the spell and makes it hers.

Spellbound I am, I am

The wizard has enchanted me, enchanted me

Spellbound deep in my soul, in my soul

In my heart burns a sizzling fire, a sizzling fire

Spellbound I am, I am

The wizard has enchanted me, enchanted me

Spellbound in my heart's root, my heart's root

My eyes gaze to where the wizard stood

Queen Anna of Lviv.

Gunhild, Anna and Elisabeth can now gather in the nightmare cloud in which Anna of Lviv has found herself this cold winter night. They join in unison and say:

“Begone, thou nightmare of evil, and into the grave go down.

Wake up now Queen Anna of Lviv.

Through us three you have been given two gifts.

One to force evil into its grave.

One to give you strength and courage.

These gifts are from three queens given to you.”

It is now your task to give these gifts to every woman and man in your kingdom.

Queen Anna of Lviv wakes up and realizes that something has happened during the night. The anxiety she went to bed with is gone, but something else has taken root.

What will I do today that will make me feel proud to be Ukrainian?

Still so many answers I don't know.

Realizing that it is by questioning that we grow.

So I take a step out of the ordinary.

I can feel my soul rising upwards, I'm on my way to something new.

Nothing can stop me now and others can do the same.

What can I do today to feel proud.

As a storyteller, you can play with the words. The piece above is largely a rewrite of Heather Small's lyrics in the song Proud. I have chosen to show young pilgrims music's work to visualizing the text (https://www.youtube.com/@YoungPilgrimMusic open in new page.)
